Welcome to the Northern California Chapter of the American Research Center in Egypt

Join us to explore the history and culture of Egypt from before the Pharaohs into the Age of Alexander and Cleopatra, Julius Caesar and Marc Antony; the rise of Christianity and its fall to Islamic conquerors; into the age of the Caliphs, the Mamelukes and Napoleon Bonaparte; and finally the rise of modern Egypt beginning with Mohammed Ali and the early European travellers and explorers, and the rise of the current Egyptian republic.
